• Design, prototype, program, debug, and commission controls for production line machinery.
• Specify, source, select, and procure control and power components based on proposed machine designs.
• Collaborate with the design team on prototyping, testing, evaluating, and approving designs.
• Develop, design, prototype, program, debug, and commission control systems for the following: linear and rotary motors, servomotors, actuators (electromagnetic, pneumatic, and hydraulic), sensors (optical and touch based), programmable controllers and IO interfaces including touchscreens.
• Design and program network communications applications.

Shall work as a part of a project-oriented engineering and design team developing machines for individual customers (these machines are unlikely to be made more than once!). Project scopes include everything from imagination and napkin drawings to initial design, testing, prototyping, building, programming, testing, troubleshooting, commissioning, modifying, and training customers.
