Linux Systems Engineer to support the engineering, hardening, automation, and distribution of machine images within a large-scale AWS environment. This is primarily a systems engineering role requiring strong operating system knowledge combined with cloud and automation skills. Responsibilities Engineer and harden Linux/Red Hat machine images. Automate image builds, patching, releases, and distribution in AWS . Troubleshoot complex Unix/Linux, OS, security, and configuration issues. Maintain and enhance an existing Python automation codebase . Use Ansible and shell scripting for configuration and automation. Work with EC2, AMIs, Lambda, Step Functions, CloudFormation , and AWS APIs. Independently investigate problems and own solutions through implementation and support. Key Requirements Strong Unix/Linux systems engineering , ideally Red Hat AWS infrastructure experience Python scripting/automation Ansible and shell scripting
