We're looking for an experienced Cloud DevOps Engineer who can take ownership of key cloud initiatives, improve our development and deployment processes, and bring practical ideas to the way our engineering environment is managed. You'll have a hands-on role across cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, automation, Kubernetes, monitoring, and security. You'll also be trusted to make technical recommendations, take ownership of important projects, and help establish better DevOps practices as our environment grows. What You'll Be Responsible For Take ownership of key cloud and DevOps projects from planning through implementation. Manage and improve AWS, Azure, or other cloud environments across development, staging, and production. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines that make software releases more consistent and efficient. Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools. Lead improvements to containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes. Set up and improve monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability practices. Investigate complex deployment failures, infrastructure problems, and production incidents. Work closely with software engineers to improve release processes and resolve technical issues. Make recommendations around cloud architecture, automation, reliability, and scalability. Help maintain strong cloud security through IAM, networking, access controls, and configuration management. Identify repetitive operational work that can be automated and develop practical solutions. Review cloud usage and recommend ways to improve performance and manage costs. Document important systems, processes, and technical decisions so the team can work effectively. Take part in incident reviews and make sure agreed improvements are followed through. What We're Looking For You'll need solid hands-on experience, but just as important is the ability to take ownership and make sound technical decisions.
You should have:
5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or a related field. Strong experience with AWS, Azure, or another major cloud platform. Proven experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines. Strong working knowledge of Terraform, CloudFormation, or another Infrastructure as Code tool. Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes. Strong Linux and networking fundamentals. Experience with Python, Bash, PowerShell, or another scripting language. Experience with Git and modern software development workflows. Knowledge of cloud security, IAM, networking, and access management. Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability tools. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to explain technical issues and recommendations clearly to both technical and business stakeholders. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
