Information Technology Full Job Description Overview:

Responsibilities:
Student responsibilities will vary by assigned team within the IT department but can range from general clerical to hands-on experience with IT applications and/or hardware Embedded within an IT team and works under the general guidance of a supervisor within the department Works on projects and tasks as assigned Proficient with basic computer-based programs and utilizes what they learn in classes to inform their work and vice versa Prioritizes responsibilities to meet deadlines with successful completion of work Ability to work independently as well as in a team Maintains confidentiality Ability to work schedule as defined up to 20 hours per week during the semester and 28 hours a week during breaks Completes all mandatory department, educational and hospital requirements Adheres to current Infection Control and Safety Standards Regular and prompt attendance Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required Related duties as assigned
Additional Information:
Employees must be in a regular position, working 20 hours or more per week (.50 FTE or greater) to qualify for benefits.
Qualifications:
Current enrollment in IS, IT. CS, HI or a related program in the University of South Alabama School of Computing Required Must be in good academic standing, not a freshman, and not entering your final semester Required Comparable combination of education and experience may substitute for the above requirements.
