The ideal candidate will have a CDL, be skilled in operating various types of buses, including school buses, ensuring the safe and timely transportation of passengers. This role requires excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to customer service, as you will be interacting with passengers daily. Duties Safely operate buses, ensuring adherence to all traffic laws and company policies. Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the bus, performing routine inspections and minor repairs as needed. Communicate effectively with passengers, providing information about routes, schedules, and safety procedures. Assist passengers in boarding and disembarking, ensuring a smooth transition for all riders. Monitor passenger behavior to ensure safety and compliance with regulations during transit. Maintain accurate records of routes taken, passenger counts, and any incidents that occur during trips. Collaborate with dispatchers to report any delays or issues encountered during driving. Requirements Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; specialized licensing for bus operation preferred. Experience in bus driving or related fields such as school bus driving, delivery driving, or van driving is highly desirable. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English. Ability to maintain composure under pressure and handle unexpected situations calmly. Commitment to safety protocols and the ability to recognize potential hazards while driving. Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed.
