Videos Duties Help This Loadmaster position is assigned to the 153d Operions Group of the 153d Airlift Wing opering C-130 aircraft. GS-8 : The primary purpose of this position is to perform aircrew duties as loadmaster and to perform reled staff support duties. This is a developmental position to the full performance position of Loadmaster (Instructor), GS-2185-09. GS-9 : The primary purpose of this position is to administer, schedule, and conduct flight and ground training which develops, upgrades, and evalues the skills of loadmaster aircrew members; performs aircrew duties as an instructor loadmaster in the C-130 aircraft and performs reled staff support duties; to train crewmembers in these duties.

KEY REQUIREMENTS
Open to current active-duty Air Force, Air Force Reserves, and other stes' Air Nional Guard members. Must become a military member of the Wyoming Air N'l Guard before appt. May be required to successfully complete a two-year trial period. Federal employment suitability is determined by a background investigion. Recruitment/Relocion Incentive MAY BE authorized, if eligible. Subject to funding and TAG approval. PCS costs are not authorized. Must be willing to reloce own expense if selected.
EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS
Technicians are paid through Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer (DD/EFT). Military Technicians are ineligible for military enlistment, retention, and student loan repayment bonuses. Acceptance of a permanent or indefinite position will cause terminion from the Selected Reserve Incentive Program (SRIP) and TRICARE Reserve Select (TRS). Veteran's preference does not apply to Nional Guard Technician positions in accordance with Title 32 USC 709(f).
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
1. Must tain and maintain mission-ready stus the approprie crew qualificion level in the unit's assigned aircraft. Periodically, as prescribed by regulions, must take and pass written and in-flight standardizion evaluion examinions to include random no notice evaluions. 2. The incumbent is exposed to physiological hazards of flight plus physical and psychological demands of routine lengthy missions (up to 24 hours durion), must work in confined, hazardous noise areas, is subject to inclement weher during ground operions and dangerous environmental conditions during flight and may opere in austere locion. 3. May be required to travel in military and commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments. 4. Required to maintain proficiency in the use of firearms. As prescribed by regulion, may be required to carry and use a concealed weapon while performing aircrew reled duties. 5. GS-9 candides must be instructor qualified, maintaining proficiency in the Principles of Instruction. 6. GS-9 incumbents required to maintain flight examiner qualificion. The considerion of qualified eligible candides as follows: Area 1 : All permanent and indefinite Wyoming Nional Guard (NG) WY ANG employees assigned to the 153 OG. Area 2 : All permanent and indefinite Wyoming Air Nional Guard (ANG) T32 Dual Stus technicians employed within the Wyoming Air Nional Guard. Area 4 : All current military members of the Wyoming Air Nional Guard. Area 6 : Current military service members to include the US Air Force, Air Force Reserves, and other stes' Air Nional Guard units. Must be willing/eligible to join the Wyoming Air Nional Guard as a military member prior to appointment to position.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
Loadmasters plan and direct the loading distribution, arid securing of cargo in aircraft. Loadmaster instructors perform the above duties and conduct classroom and flight training in aircraft loading.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Must possess experience in functions such as preparing aircraft loading plans, loading and offloading aircraft, opering loading equipment, and ensuring security of cargo in flight.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
GS-8 : Must possess experience, educion or training performing weight and balance computions, cargo loading planning and security, directing cargo or personnel loading and off-loading operions. Knowledge of rules for hazardous cargo transport. Experience performing aircraft inspections to determine aircraft airworthiness. GS-9 : Must be instructor qualified and possess experience regarding capacities and limits of the various stions and compartments of the aircraft; aircraft cargo safety; aircraft flight manuals; and training personnel in the build-up, loading and rigging of the different aircraft cargo combinions to include airdrop of equipment and supplies.
