- $110,000 a year 6 hours ago Qualifications Chemical Engineering Bachelor of Science Master of Science Industrial equipment Commissioning phase involvement Documentation Handling Process engineering Full Job Description Hydron is a venture-backed startup developing a new separation process for high-salinity industrial brines.
- Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade a pilot-scale process skid, including its instrumentation and control system.
- Run bench-scale experiments to established procedures and keep accurate records.
- Plan and execute field test campaigns: logistics, commissioning, run coverage, sampling, data capture, and demobilization.
- Maintain P&IDs, SOPs, safety documentation, and data packages.
- Serve as lab and field safety lead. What we are looking for
- B.S. or M.S. in chemical or mechanical engineering with roughly 3 to 8 years of hands-on pilot-plant, skid, or process-development experience. You have built or commissioned equipment, not only designed it. Strong M.S. graduates with pilot or co-op experience will be considered.
- Equally comfortable at the lab bench and with tools in hand.
- Familiarity with PLC or DAQ-based process control.
- Willing to travel 30 to 50 percent during field campaigns and to work at industrial sites.
- Clear, disciplined documentation habits.
Nice to have:
analytical lab experience, industrial or oil and gas site experience, process simulation exposure, prior work in a small R D team. No water-industry background required. Hydron Desalination is an equal opportunity employer. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.Pay:
