Pickup Truck Driver and Collector of Construction Materials and Samples General Responsibilities:

Operate a Pickup Truck for a construction materials testing company in order to pickup and load construction samples ranging from 8 lbs to 75 lbs for testing at the company's lab in Stoneham, MA. Concrete cylinders ranging from 8 to 20 lbs, as well as soil samples make up the majority of the construction samples that the truck driver will be picking up from various construction projects generally within a 60 mile radius of Boston, MA. The company will provide the driver with a company pickup truck for performing the pickup services at construction projects in Massachusetts and occasionally New Hampshire and Rhode Island. There is no experience needed for this job, however, the right candidate will be able to follow instructions, communicate with dispatchers, project managers, engineering technicians, client representative, contractor's representative and others as applicable regarding the construction materials to be picked up and tested from various construction sites. Must be able to comply to strict safety standards.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

Responsible for transporting material samples with associated identifying documentation to the laboratory for further testing and analysis. Operate a company pickup truck in strict accordance with Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island traffic laws and regulations. Perform pickup and transportation responsibilities as directed by the company dispatchers and management. May interact with client and other site personnel to locate construction materials and samples that need to be transported back to the company's laboratory. Maintains company truck and equipment in good and working order. Follow safety rules and practices and other safety requirements for all projects. Performs pre-task planning prior to executing work. Report any safety issues or concerns to management. Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all construction materials and samples.

Requirements:

Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.
