Truck Driver -
Machines and Aggregates Job Summary:
The Truck Driver is responsible for transporting heavy machinery and materials, such as aggregates, to our project locations. This role requires a skilled individual with experience in operating various types of machinery, a Class A license, and willingness to assist sitework crews as needed. In addition to driving, the operator will also be responsible for actively participating in snow removal routes during storm events.
Job Responsibilities:
Vehicle inspections: Perform pre-trip and post-trip safety checks on brakes, tires, and lights. Filling out DOT inspection reports daily.
Transporting:
Heavy equipment, attachments and materials such as aggregates, blocks and pipes.
Managing Cargo:
Load and unload machines such as excavators, loaders and skid steers. Performing proper load securement.
Vehicle Maintenance:
Washing and keeping vehicles clean.
Coordination:
Communicate regularly with the manager regarding delays or schedule changes.
App Management:
Responsible for tracking time by clocking in and out of each day as well as clocking in and out of individual work tickets as work is completed.
Snow Hauling:
Responsible for plowing and hauling snow during winter months.
Preferred Qualifications:
CLASS A LICENSE REQUIRED 3
Years relevant experience preferred but willing to train right candidate Ability to operate various types of heavy machinery safely and efficiently Strong communication and teamwork skills Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions closely Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and snow. Ability to perform manual labor, including activities such as stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
