Job Description

Performance Food Group is hiring CDL Class A Delivery Drivers to safely transport and deliver food and related products to restaurants, schools, healthcare, and retail customers. In this fast-paced, physical role, you'll operate CDL Class A vehicles, perform pre- and post-trip inspections, unload using pallet jacks or hand trucks, and ensure accurate, on-time deliveries. You'll interact directly with customers, uphold DOT and company safety standards, and contribute to PFG's performance-driven, team-focused culture with opportunities for advancement and skills growth. Responsibilities Operate CDL Class A trucks to deliver food and related products to commercial customers on assigned routes Perform accurate loading, unloading, and securement of product using pallet jacks and hand trucks Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety issues Comply with DOT, FMCSA, and company safety policies, including hours-of-service and electronic logs Ensure timely, accurate deliveries and obtain required customer signatures and documentation Provide professional, customer-focused service at each delivery location Maintain accurate delivery records, logs, and invoices Communicate with dispatch on route status, delays, and issues Handle returns, shortages, and product discrepancies according to company procedures Contribute to a safety-first, performance-driven, and team-oriented work culture Required Skills CDL Class A truck operation Route navigation and planning Load securement and unloading Use of pallet jacks/hand trucks DOT and FMCSA safety compliance Electronic logbook/telematics use Time management and scheduling Customer service for deliveries Vehicle inspection and basic maintenance Paperwork and delivery documentation
