Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles with manual transmissions across various routes Must be able to drive and operate in New York Deliver freight to customers promptly while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks and trailers to ensure vehicle safety and compliance Manage route driving efficiently by planning optimal paths to meet delivery schedules Assist with securing loads on flatbeds or tanker trucks to prevent shifting during transit Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery status, delays, or issues encountered on the road Skills Proven experience in truck driving with a valid CDL A license and clean driving record Skilled in manual transmission or Automatic operation for various types of commercial vehicles Knowledge of refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks Ability to load & unload freight safely using forklifts or manual methods Strong understanding of route planning and route driving best practices Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety and compliance with DOT regulations Experience with freight handling, securing loads, and managing delivery documentation 2-3 years experience Embark on a rewarding career where your driving expertise makes a real impact!
