Two positions — one day shift, one night shift

Schedule:

Fixed 8-hour shift, Monday through Saturday (48 hours per week); your shift stays the same every week

Compensation:

34% commission on gross revenue, with a guaranteed weekly minimum of $780 — whichever is higher About CarrierElite CarrierElite is a new flatbed towing and vehicle recovery company serving the DMV region. You'll drive a brand-new, fully equipped 2027 International MV607 rollback and work primarily motor club dispatch through Agero, Urgently, and Allstate — steady, predictable volume with no chasing accident scenes or impound work. We're owner-operated and building a small team on purpose. That means you're not a number: you'll have a direct line to the owners, a truck that's maintained, and a pay structure designed so a slow day never costs you a paycheck. Why drive for us We built this position around the driver, not just the truck: W-2 employment — $15/hour base, Monday through Friday; Saturday paid at 1.5× ($22.50/hour) Guaranteed weekly minimum of $780 — your floor for the full 6-day week, no matter how slow it gets Fixed shift, no rotation — you're hired for either the day shift or the night shift and keep it; no swapping between the two Paid certifications — WreckMaster/TRAA and Traffic Incident Management training on us Uniforms and gear provided — branded shirts, Class 3 hi-vis, gloves, rain gear, boot allowance Quarterly safety and performance bonuses — tied to on-time ETAs, customer ratings, and damage-free operation 34% commission — earn 34% of gross on every job; when your commission for the week beats $780, you're paid the commission You keep 100% of your tips — any tip paid through the motor club dispatch system goes to you in full What you'll do Start of every shift Complete a written pre-trip inspection before leaving the yard: tires and pressure, lights and signals, brakes, fluid levels, wipers, mirrors, and horn Check the carrier bed, hydraulics, winch cable, wheel-lift, and all straps, chains, and J-hooks for wear or damage Confirm safety equipment is on board and in working order: cones, flares/triangles, fire extinguisher, first-aid kit, hi-vis gear, wheel chocks Verify the truck is fueled and the cab is clean before going on duty Log in to the dispatch apps and mark yourself available on time During the shift Respond to motor club dispatches (breakdowns, tows, winch-outs, lockouts, jump starts, tire changes) across Loudoun, Fairfax, and Prince William Counties Load, secure, and transport passenger vehicles and light trucks on a rollback carrier safely and damage-free Document each job in the dispatch app: arrival photos, vehicle condition, mileage, and customer signatures Communicate clearly with stranded customers — you are the face of the company at the worst moment of their day Follow all traffic incident management and roadside safety procedures, especially on high-speed corridors like I-95, I-66, and the Beltway No smoking or vaping inside the truck, around the truck, or in front of customers at any time — the truck is a smoke-free vehicle Report equipment issues, incidents, or customer concerns to the owners the same day End of every shift Complete a post-trip inspection and note any defects, damage, or warning lights Refuel, clean out the cab and bed, and stow all equipment Submit the day's inspection log, fuel receipts, and any incident reports Park the truck at the designated yard and secure it What we're looking for Required Legally authorized to work in the United States (proof required at hire) Minimum 2 years of experience operating a rollback/flatbed carrier or wheel-lift wrecker 21 years of age or older Valid Virginia driver's license with a clean MVR (no major violations in the last 3 years — this is an insurance requirement, not a preference) No CDL required — the truck is under 26,001 lbs GVWR and operates on a standard license Current DOT medical card, or ability to obtain one before your start date Willing to undergo a background check and drug screen during the selection process Able to lift 75 lbs, work outdoors in all weather, and kneel/crawl to hook vehicles Comfortable using a smartphone for dispatch, navigation, and documentation Good English communication skills — you will be speaking with stranded customers, motor club dispatchers, and police on scene, so clear spoken and written English is essential Professional, courteous demeanor with customers Preferred Experience with Agero, Urgently, or Allstate dispatch platforms WreckMaster, TRAA, or TIM certification Knowledge of Northern Virginia roads and neighborhoods

Pay:

$15.00 - $22.50 per hour Expected hours: No less than 48.0 per week
