Job Description

Job Purpose:
The Automotive Sales Porter at Ron Marhofer Auto Group is responsible for maintaining vehicle inventory, preparing vehicles for display and delivery, organizing dealership grounds, and supporting the sales team. This role helps ensure a clean, safe, and professional environment while delivering a positive customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Support dealership operations by maintaining vehicle inventory and preparing vehicles for display and delivery. Organize the lot to ensure a neat and professional appearance. Assist customers and sales staff in a courteous and efficient manner. Transport vehicles as required, ensuring safe and timely delivery. Ensure a clean, safe, and professional environment that enhances the customer experience. Operate vehicles safely, including both automatic and manual transmissions. Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, demonstrating reliability and attention to detail. Communicate effectively with team members and customers, providing excellent customer service.
Required Education:
High school diploma or GED preferred. Must possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Preferred Education:
Previous experience in an automotive dealership, porter, lot attendant, valet, or customer service role. Experience driving and parking a variety of vehicles, maintaining inventory appearance, and working in a fast-paced environment is highly desirable.
Required Experience:
Previous automotive, lot attendant, porter, customer service, or vehicle handling experience is preferred but not required. Ability to safely operate vehicles. Capability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Demonstrated reliability, organization, and attention to detail.
Preferred Experience:
Experience working in an automotive dealership, vehicle lot management, valet services, or customer service. Familiarity with vehicle inventory organization and vehicle preparation. Experience in safely operating both automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to safely operate vehicles. Capability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Strong organizational, communication, teamwork, and customer service skills. Ability to follow directions, multitask, and maintain attention to detail.
Preferred Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of dealership operations, vehicle inventory management, and lot organization. Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles. Proficiency in using mobile inventory tools. Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.
