Building Based Substitute

Thetford Elementary School is seeking to hire a qualified candidate to fill the position of Building Based Substitute for the 2026-2027 school year.

The building based substitute teacher or paraprofessional is responsible for filling in for absent teacher(s) or support personnel, as assigned by the building administration. The ideal candidate for this position will enjoy working with students across all grade levels (Kindergarten through sixth grade) and will be able to substitute in all subject areas. Additionally, the ideal candidate will need to be flexible and adaptable to change based upon the building's needs.

Compensation:

This position pays between $19.22 and $29.72 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Compensation is determined by the districts collective bargaining agreement, which considers factors such as degree level and years of service. This compensation range is provided in accordance with Vermonts Pay Transparency Law and reflects a good faith estimate.
