Immediately Job Description Thetford Elementary School is seeking to hire a Social-Emotional Learning Coordinator/Dean of Students starting July 1, 2026. This is an administrative position. The Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) Coordinator/Dean of Students is the individual primarily responsible for building-level student behavioral support and remedial services delivered either individually and/or in group situations, including behavioral referrals, parent contact and restorative practices/consequences, as well as coordinating consultation with other professionals. Apart from the day-to-day work that directly impacts students, they deliver professional development for staff, support the building level interventionists, and is a team member of the school's Student Support Team. The various performance responsibilities for this position fall under the following categories: Program Development, Leadership, Communication, and Program Oversight
Position Expectations:
1. Ability to maintain confidentiality. 2. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from parents, students, administrators and contracted service providers. 3. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. 4. Excellent oral and written communication skills. 5. Proven ability to work cooperatively and effectively as part of a team. 6. Ability to communicate courteously, efficiently and effectively with a variety of individuals, including faculty, staff, administrators, co-workers, and representatives of outside organizations. 7. High accuracy and attention to detail. 8. Strong organizational skills.
