Chief JudgeLOCATION
Tribal Court, Nespelem, WA Basic Functions:
Exempt position: Responsible for the cleaning and upkeep of the entire Colville Tribal Court building and property and some equipment; supervises all facilities maintenance and improvement contracts in regards to the completion of the goals and objectives of the Colville Tribal Court; performs duties in a customer friendly, efficient, and profitable manner that promotes superior staff, customer and vendor relations. Perform backup bailiff duties from time to time as necessary.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Training:
Requires a High School Diploma or GED and a minimum three (3) years of maintenance, construction, or related experience. Trade school certificate preferred.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Requires knowledge and experience in shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem solving capabilities. Demonstrated knowledge and experience developing and maintaining positive fair and professional relationships with co-workers, peers, collaborative partners and government agencies. Knowledge and familiarity with project management strategies. Knowledge in repair of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and window based programs. Requires strong written, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Requires the ability to maintain strict confidentiality. Requires the ability to work both independently and in a team oriented collaborative environment. Requires the ability to perform the essential responsibilities and work task of the position. Requires the ability to perform the essential responsibilities and work tasks of the position. Requires manual and finger dexterity as required to perform daily job duties. Requires ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Requires ability to frequently sit for prolonged periods of time. Ability to frequently bend, squat, and reach. Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Ability to obtain a Government Motor Vehicle Operator card and maintain it throughout employment.Note:
Pursuant to Tribal Policy, if this position is safety sensitive it is subject to pre-employment drug testing. In addition, this position is subject to reasonable suspicion and post-accident drug testing.TRIBAL MEMBER AND INDIAN PREFERENCE WILL APPLY
