In this pivotal role, you will provide visionary leadership, foster effective governance, and collaborate closely with board members and executive leadership to advance the organization's mission. Your expertise in strategic management, business development, and nonprofit financial oversight will drive sustainable growth and impactful community engagement. As Board Chair, you will champion organizational excellence, inspire diverse stakeholders, and ensure the organization remains aligned with its core values and strategic goals. Responsibilities Lead the board in setting strategic direction, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission and long-term vision Facilitate effective board meetings by promoting open discussion, decision-making, and accountability among members Collaborate with executive leadership to oversee organizational performance, operational management, and program delivery Foster strong relationships with board members, staff, donors, partners, and community stakeholders to enhance engagement and support fundraising efforts Ensure compliance with legal requirements, governance policies, and ethical standards across all organizational activities Guide strategic planning initiatives and oversee the implementation of key organizational priorities Support fundraising efforts by leveraging your network for business development opportunities and donor engagement Skills Extensive experience in corporate strategy development and strategic management within nonprofit or business sectors Proven track record in executive leadership and senior team management with a focus on nonprofit or organizational growth Strong background in business management, financial oversight—including nonprofit financial management—and operational oversight Demonstrated success in fundraising, business development, and marketing strategies to expand organizational impact Skilled in collaboration with board members, fostering teamwork, supervision of senior staff, and managing complex stakeholder relationships Expertise in nonprofit management principles, including nonprofit financial oversight and nonprofit-specific fundraising strategies Leadership qualities that inspire confidence, promote innovation, and drive organizational excellence through strategic planning and operational management
