We're especially interested in professionals in finance, media, government, and other high-impact sectors who are ready to play a strategic role in shaping the future of arts and advocacy. About Our Mission Ripple Effect Artists, Inc. (REA) addresses injustice and causes social impact through art - primarily by producing masterful plays - presenting them along with talk-back discussions in partnership with educators and advocacy groups. These events, our education, and our game-changing philanthropy cultivate empathy, shift audiences from APATHY to ACTION, and create a

Why This Role Matters Now As we scale our reach and impact, we are focused on three strategic priorities: Expanding access to large theatre venues and extension of our theatrical-runs. Strengthening sustainability to provide more productions

to students. Elevating our leadership in the Performing Arts Space. Boosting visibility by expanding our press/media coverage, brand recognition, and thought leadership nationally. Our board will play a vital role in helping us meet these goals and we're seeking Tri-State area leaders ready to step into that responsibility. Key Expectations Attend monthly Board meetings and quarterly in-person engagements in New York City. Provide strategic oversight and actively contribute to committee work. Serve as an ambassador and connector for REA across your personal and professional networks. Offer expertise, thought partnership, and access to opportunities that support organizational growth. Participate in major events, activations, and high-impact campaigns throughout the year. Meet REA's $5,000 annual give/get commitment through a personal leadership gift and/or by securing contributions from your network; employer matching gifts count toward the total. In-kind support may be credited if pre-approved for strategic alignment.
Ideal Candidates Are:
Based in or near New York City and able to attend meetings and events in NYC. Established professionals in finance, media, corporate strategy, government, legal, or philanthropy. Strategic thinkers who understand scaling, systems change, or brand-building. Passionate about theatre, film, social justice, and innovation. Eager to lend their voice and influence to something purpose-driven. This is a highly selective, high-impact volunteer opportunity for leaders who want to do more than serve, they want to build. $1.00 per year Application Question(s): REA has a $5,000 annual give/get requirement per director. Please confirm you understand and agree to this policy and outline your plan to meet it this year. Confirm you can attend monthly meetings in NYC or virtually, actively serve on a committee, participate in 2 major events per year, and complete standard governance requirements? Please certify you understand that this is a volunteer position.
