Fremont, CA (Hybrid) Job Description Customer looking for an experienced organizational change manager with a strong instructional design background to be part of a dynamic team supporting Global Information Systems (GIS). This position's primary responsibility is leading the people side of change and building the learning content that makes new technology stick. The GIS Organizational Change Manager will be responsible for working across multiple groups, towers, and geographies to drive awareness, adoption, and proficiency of new systems, processes, and capabilities. This individual will need excellent communication, creativity, and consultation skills to be successful. The GIS Organizational Change Manager will develop and execute change strategies and plans for a portfolio of projects while also serving as the team's hands-on instructional designer, converting complex technical material into clear, role-based learning experiences. The GIS Organizational Change Manager will work closely with project teams, business leaders, executive sponsors, subject matter experts, and corporate communications to ensure change and training activities are integrated into project plans and delivered on schedule. This is a contract engagement supporting Lam's Global Information Systems (GIS) group, with an expected balance of 50-75% time spent on change management strategy and execution and the remainder on instructional design and training development. Develop and implement communication plans, coaching plans, sponsor roadmaps, resistance management plans and training plans to affect positive adoption of IT systems, processes and capabilities
Support the design, development, delivery and management of communications by partnering with IT project teams and corporate communications
Assess change impact and adoption of IT systems in partnership with each project's Accountable Executive
Conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness, and support reinforcement of changes after go-live
Act as instructional design expert to design and develop instructional content, job aids, and quick reference guides that support adoption of GIS systems, processes, and capabilities.
Partner with project teams, subject matter experts, and business stakeholders to assess learning needs, define instructional objectives, and translate technical content into clear, practical learning experiences for end users.
Maintain currency of information and training documentation and modules including content managed on Lam's intranet site hosted in Microsoft SharePoint.
Identifying potential employee-side risks, anticipating the resistance, and developing specific plans to address or mitigate the concerns.
Create and manage measurement systems to track utilization, adoption, and proficiency of employee changes. Support the implementation of plans by business leaders and employee-facing managers. Work with project teams to integrate change actions into the overall project plan. Minimum Qualification A minimum of 5 years of change management experience
Bachelor's Degree in Change Management, Human Resources, Business, Instructional Design or a related field
Experience with large organizational change efforts
Experience designing and developing instructional materials
Experience with managing global / cross-cultural change
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
Familiarity with project management methodologies and phases of project lifecycles
Expert in the use of Microsoft Office products including SharePoint and Copilot
Experience using Articulate Storyline 360, Rise, and Camtasia or equivalent software
Familiarity with web-based learning platforms and modern educational techniques
Extremely detail oriented and organized
Excellent active listening skills
Change management certification or designation desired
Familiarity of Learning Management Systems is a plus (Cornerstone OnDemand)
Additional certification in instructional design is a plus
Strong instructional design portfolio a plus
