Hybrid, Camp Springs, MD Alpha Omega is looking for a Communications Strategist and Organizational Change Management (OCM) Journeyman supporting change management and strategic communications for transformation efforts. This position shall design and deliver stakeholder engagement strategies, coordinate messaging for diverse audiences, and facilitate the adoption of new technologies, processes, and organizational structures. The Specialist shall apply Prosci, Lean Agile, and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies for change adoption and shall ensure all communications adhere to Plain Language guidelines and Section 508 accessibility standards.
Responsibilities:
Liaise with leadership, staff, and external partners to ensure communications meet the standards of the Washington, DC metropolitan government environment. Apply Prosci, Lean Agile, and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies for change adoption and shall ensure all communications adhere to Plain Language guidelines and Section 508 accessibility standards.
Required Skills/Experience:
Minimum seven (7) years developing and executing communications strategies for federal programs. Prosci Change Management Certification or similar professional certification. Demonstrated expertise in executive-level communications, messaging frameworks, and stakeholder engagement. Experience supporting organizational change management initiatives in federal environments. Strong writing, editing, and presentation skills tailored for diverse audiences. Ability to coordinate across functional teams to ensure clear, consistent messaging. Demonstrated experience drafting strategic communications in support of operational programs.
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field
Salary and Benefit Information:
The likely salary range for this position is $100,000 - $123,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position and could fall outside of this range.
