Job Description

Overview The Revenue Cycle Analyst is responsible for ensuring that the hospital's revenue cycle processes are documented, understood and acted upon by the various clinical-financial areas within the hospital.

Representative Activities:
Responsibilities 1. Performs detailed analyses in order to develop, recommend and implement workplace improvements that support standardization and integration of the revenue cycle workflow. 2. Serves a principal role in the department's education, implementation, and oversight of revenue cycle compliance relating, but not limited, to: account/service assignment; authorizations; chart documentation; billing; charge entry and reconciliation: contingency planning; supply management; and contract reimbursement. 3. Develops, reviews, analyzes and reports various audit reports relating to each department's revenue cycle processes in order to identify. Qualifications 1. Usual education and experience needed for satisfactory performance is a High School diploma or GED certificate required or equivalent job-related experience. 2. One or more years of experience in revenue cycle or healthcare operations within a multi-specialty hospitals and/or clinic environment.
