Business Intelligence Analyst (SQL & Data Analytics)

Bloomington, IL #ILL2 Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Business Intelligence Analyst to join a local organization in the Bloomington, IL area. This role will serve as the connection between business teams and technical solutions by analyzing data, developing reporting solutions, and transforming complex information into actionable insights. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with SQL, database design, data analytics, and business intelligence tools . You will be responsible for building dashboards, analyzing data trends, supporting reporting initiatives, and partnering with stakeholders to improve decision-making through data-driven solutions. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex business problems, working with data, and creating meaningful reporting tools that drive operational improvements. Key Responsibilities Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and identify opportunities for reporting, analytics, and process improvements. Analyze complex datasets to uncover trends, insights, and opportunities that support strategic business decisions. Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reporting solutions using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar platforms . Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from multiple sources. Support database design efforts, including data models, schemas, and reporting structures. Translate business requirements into technical specifications for analytics and reporting solutions. Collaborate with technical teams to improve data quality, reporting accuracy, and system efficiency. Create and maintain documentation including workflows, data flows, and system processes using tools such as Visio or similar platforms. Participate in Agile project teams, contributing to continuous improvement and successful project delivery. Work with various data sources including Excel, relational databases, and cloud-based platforms. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience. 5+ years of experience in business analysis, business intelligence, data analytics, or related technical roles. Strong SQL skills with experience working in databases such as Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle . Experience developing dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar platforms . Strong understanding of database concepts, data modeling, and reporting structures. Experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into technical solutions. Ability to analyze large datasets and communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects. Preferred Qualifications Experience with ETL processes and data integration workflows. Knowledge of linked data concepts and enterprise data environments. Experience working in Agile development environments. Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and analytics solutions.Pay:
$70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per yearBenefits:
