Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Technical Business Analyst to join a local organization in the Bloomington, IL area. In this role, you will serve as a vital link between business needs and technical solutions, leveraging your expertise in data analytics and business intelligence tools. Your primary responsibility will be to analyze complex data sets, develop insightful dashboards, and facilitate effective communication among stakeholders to drive strategic decision-making. Duties Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for data reporting, dashboard development, and analytics projects. Design and develop comprehensive data models, ensuring alignment with organizational needs and best practices in database architecture. Utilize data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, and Data Studio to create interactive dashboards that communicate insights clearly. Perform query management using SQL scripting to optimize data retrieval processes. Support database design efforts by ensuring scalable and efficient schema development for business intelligence applications. Assist in requirements analysis sessions to translate business needs into technical specifications for dashboarding and reporting solutions. Maintain documentation using Visio or similar diagramming tools to illustrate system workflows and data flows. Participate actively in Agile project teams to deliver incremental value through continuous improvement cycles. Qualifications Proven experience as a Business Analyst with a focus on technical projects involving data analytics tools and business intelligence platforms. Strong proficiency in SQL databases such as Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle; experience with query management is essential. Hands-on experience with Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or other reporting/dashboarding tools for visualization purposes. Familiarity with ETL processes using Understanding of linked data concepts and their application within enterprise environments. Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets into actionable insights. Strong communication skills to effectively liaise between technical teams and business stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines. Experience working with diverse data sources such as Excel spreadsheets, SQL databases, and cloud-based platforms. Education Requires a Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent thereof, and 5 years or more of related work experience to demonstrate applications working knowledge to provide computer software recommendations, support, and leadership.
