Business Analyst Flat Rock, MI Pay Rate:
$33.25/hour
Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Business Analyst to support our Plant Manager and leadership team in Flat Rock, MI. This position plays a crucial role in preparing and analyzing reports, developing business intelligence tools, and creating presentations that drive operational decisions. The analyst collaborates with various plant managers to understand business needs, organize information, and communicate insights effectively. The role also includes providing limited administrative support to the Plant Manager, including calendar and meeting coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting and Analysis Prepare, maintain, and distribute recurring operational and management reports. Analyze data to identify trends, variances, and areas needing further review. Validate information for accuracy and consistency. Respond to ad hoc reporting and analysis requests. Summarize and present findings in a clear, practical format. Business Intelligence & Process Improvement Use existing BI tools to organize and visualize plant data. Help develop and improve dashboards and BI solutions. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify reporting needs and data sources. Document and improve reporting processes. Management Team Partnership Build effective relationships with plant leaders and teams. Gather and clarify business requirements to support analysis. Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve data gaps and meet deadlines. Handle business information confidentially. Presentations and Communication Develop presentations, charts, and briefing materials for leadership meetings. Organize content for clarity and impact. Assist in preparing meeting materials and follow-ups. Administrative Support Manage the Plant Manager's calendar and coordinate meetings. Schedule and coordinate among plant leadership and participants. Support meeting logistics and provide other administrative assistance as needed.
Required Skills:
Data Analysis Microsoft Excel Power BI -
Data Visualization Required Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business, analytics, finance, operations, information systems, or a related field (equivalent experience will be considered). Strong attention to detail and data interest. Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint. Clear written and verbal communication. Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills. Ability to work collaboratively across all levels.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience (internship, project, coursework) in business analysis, reporting, operations, or analytics. Exposure to databases, data-querying tools, or reporting systems. Experience with calendar/meeting coordination.
