Job Description

Our Client, a Commercial Banking company, is looking for a Business Consultant - Intermediate for their Toronto, ON/Hybrid location.

Responsibilities:

Maintain project financial forecasts, monitor progress, and escalate risks, issues, and action items as required.

Manage and reconcile project financials, including accruals, GL reconciliation, chargebacks, invoice tracing, forecasting, and actuals-to-plan variance analysis, with clear commentary and insights.

Prepare and deliver financial and status reporting for leadership teams and executive steering committees.

Lead and support governance activities and contribute to the continuous improvement of operational processes, tools, and reporting.

Respond effectively to shifting priorities and manage multiple deliverables in a dynamic environment.

Support the resource allocation governance process, onboard users to Eclipse, and provide troubleshooting and first-line user support.

Create, reengineer, and enhance operational processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Support the Director in preparing executive presentations and conducting ad hoc analysis across headcount, GL transactions, financial data and operational metrics/data.

Requirements:

5-10 years of experience in Project Coordination & Business Effectiveness, with a strong emphasis on Financial Planning & analysis.

Demonstrated experience managing program and project financials, including GL reconciliation, forecasting, variance analysis, and executive financial reporting.

Strong analytical capability, including the ability to extract, manipulate, interpret, and report on data from multiple systems financial and non-financial

Proficiency with a data-driven mindset, with the ability to understand data structures and relationships, identify insights, and translate findings into clear analysis and compelling business stories.

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with exceptional attention to detail.

Experience in process documentation, process design, and process improvement.

Demonstrated leadership capability with a strong sense of ownership and a self-starter approach.

Nice to

Have:

Experience working within client.

Familiarity with client GL reconciliation processes and the Eclipse tool.

Advanced proficiency in MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

Experience with Jira, Power BI, and Alteryx, Confluence

Soft Skills:

Ability to synthesize complex information into concise, impactful summaries for senior and executive audiences.

Strong storytelling and presentation skills.

Proven ability to create executive-ready materials that support informed decision-making.
