Job Description How does it feel to work on a team driven to make a big impact? Empowering. BAE Systems is seeking a Business Operations Analyst to support out of its York, Pennsylvania site. This is an early career opportunity, and may be supported on a hybrid schedule. In this role as a Business Operations Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence through the auditing of rejected materials, data, and internal processes. This role bridges the gap between high-level quality standards and daily execution by documenting clear work instructions, assisting with managing non-conforming materials, and utilizing data analysis to drive continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities 1. Auditing & Compliance Conduct regular audits of physical rejected materials, digital data, and operational processes to ensure adherence to company standards and regulatory requirements. Identify gaps in compliance and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risk. Work with continuous improvement experts to address systemic noncompliances 2. Documentation & Standardization Author and maintain detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and step-by-step work instructions for rejected material. Ensure all rejected material documentation is current, version-controlled, and aligned with quality management systems. 3. Material Non-Conformance Management Assist in the non-conforming materials activities. Track the lifecycle of rejected materials to ensure timely resolution and prevent recurrence. 4. Data Analysis & Reporting Collect and analyze operational data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for process optimization. Develop reports and dashboards that visualize quality metrics and audit findings for leadership. Use data-driven insights to propose systemic improvements to existing workflows. 5. Administrative Coordination Manage critical notifications and updates to stakeholders. Maintain accurate records and logs of non-conforming material activities. Coordinate schedules for recurring audits and compliance reviews. Required Education, Experience, & Skills Typically requires a High School Diploma and four years experience, or an Associates Degree and two years experience, or a Bachelors Degree; Computer skills to include Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Outlook features; Excellent communication, both verbal and written; Great attention to detail; Open to supporting a variety of tasks with flexibility to shift priorities; Organization skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously including prioritizing, scheduling, and executing varied activities through coordination with management. Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Knowledge of multiple software packages is a plus; Experience communicating at various levels within a company structure is a plus.
