Title:
Associate Business Services Consultant Salary:
$55,000 plus benefits
Classification:
Non-Exempt Occasional travel across the West Gulf Coast Region will be needed at times for this role. This region includes Katy, Sealy, Hempstead, Columbus, Rosenberg, Wharton, and Bay City.
Scope of Position:
The Associate Business Services Consultant will provide essential support to the Business Services Team by assisting with day-to-day employer engagement activities and workforce initiatives. This role focuses on helping employers connect with talent by supporting job fairs, hiring events, recruitment activities, and related workforce projects. The Associate will perform administrative and operational duties to ensure smooth coordination between employers, jobseekers, and career office staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond promptly and professionally to employer inquiries through phone calls, emails, or other communication channels, escalating complex issues as needed Assist with entering, updating, and maintaining accurate job postings and related employer information in required databases and systems Provide logistical support for in-person and virtual job fairs, including setting up materials, preparing schedules, confirming participation, and assisting with day-of event coordination Support the execution of hiring events by assisting with registration, employer/jobseeker check-in, and basic troubleshooting of technical or logistical issues Collaborate with Business Services staff to prepare outreach materials, coordinate communications, and track follow-up with employers Assist in gathering and maintaining labor market and workforce data to support employer service planning and reporting Maintain positive working relationships with career office staff to support candidate referrals, prescreening activities, and recruitment needs Participate in special projects or grant-related activities by providing administrative and operational assistance Contribute to process improvements and innovative initiatives by sharing observations, feedback, and ideas with the Business Services team Other opportunities as available
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience Demonstrated experience in customer service, human resources, or workforce development is highly desirable Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Knowledge of labor laws and a good understanding of workforce development principles is an advantage Collaborative and team-oriented mindset with the capacity to work effectively with diverse teams Proficiency in data entry and the use of computer applications Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively Valid driver's license and clean driving record required EDSI is an equal opportunity employer.
