Job Description

POSITION PURPOSE
Area of emphasis will include finance, reimbursement, budgeting and financial administration within Perioperative Services. Primary focus will include interpretation, statistics, budgeting, and denial management. Secondary responsibilities will include supporting the day-to-day operational and administrative needs of the Perioperative Services department leadership needs. This position reports to the Director of Business for Perioperative Services, however, will work with other leaders within Perioperative Services. Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or Healthcare Administration

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED
One (1) or more years of analytical experience in a health care setting is preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrates knowledge of a personal computer and is proficient in the use of MS Office applications as well as the ability to navigate the internet. Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion. Self-start with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Prepare and manage financial processes related to Perioperative Services (Operating Room, GI Lab, and Interventional Procedures Lab), including (but not necessarily limited to): budgeting and forecasting, procedural volume, and reimbursement. Collaborate with Finance and Accounting Departments to ensure accurate billing and reimbursement practices. Monitor and analyze expense reports to identify trends, variances, and areas for financial improvement within Perioperative Services. Conduct data analysis to support decision-making processes, utilizing statistical tools to derive insights from large and complex datasets. Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to visually depict key performance indicators related to Perioperative Services. Present findings and recommendations to leadership to drive continuous quality improvement initiatives. Collaborate with clinical staff to compile and analyze quality reports related to patient outcomes. Conduct internal financial audits to ensure financial integrity within Perioperative Services. Prepare audit reports and communicate findings to management, providing actionable recommendations for improvement. Collaborate with leadership and support Perioperative Services to assist with daily operational tasks.
