We are seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to support a high-volume procurement organization within the aerospace and defense industry. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing procurement activities, supplier sourcing, purchase order execution, and government-compliant purchasing processes. This role focuses on supporting procurement operations, maintaining compliance with applicable procurement regulations, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery of materials while partnering with cross-functional teams.ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct supplier sourcing and market research activities. Review and process purchase requisitions. Prepare solicitation packages and evaluate supplier proposals. Perform price and cost analysis using competitive bids, historical pricing, and market research. Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and commercial terms with suppliers. Issue and manage purchase orders and procurement modifications. Prepare procurement summaries and supplier selection documentation. Maintain complete procurement records and supporting documentation. Collaborate with engineering, quality, supply chain, and program teams to support procurement activities. Ensure procurement activities comply with applicable government and company requirements.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field (preferred). 6+ years of procurement, purchasing, or subcontract management experience. Experience supporting aerospace, defense, or government contracting environments. Strong knowledge ofFAR / DFARS
procurement requirements. Experience preparing procurement documentation, competitive bid evaluations, and supplier selection packages. Experience using SAP or other ERP systems. Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple procurement activities in a fast-paced environment.BENEFITS
