Job Description

Waaree Solar Americas Inc. is hiring a Buyer in Goodyear, AZ. This is a full-time position. The Buyer at Waaree Solar Americas will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient procurement of materials and components necessary for solar panel manufacturing. The buyer will be responsible for sourcing high-quality materials at competitive prices, negotiating contracts with suppliers, and maintaining strong relationships to ensure timely delivery and adherence to quality standards. This position requires a keen understanding of the solar panel manufacturing process, its specific materials, market trends, and supply chain management principles. This position may require occasional travel to vendor locations.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Procures materials required for solar panel manufacturing, ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery. Primary focus on indirect material and services, but support other buyers on raw materials, spare parts and equipment.

Researches and identifies potential suppliers/vendors, evaluate their capabilities, and negotiate contracts and terms to secure favorable pricing and terms.

Monitors market trends, supplier performance, and industry developments to anticipate changes in supply chain dynamics and proactively address potential challenges.

Collaborates with internal stakeholders, including production, engineering, and quality assurance teams, to ensure alignment on procurement requirements and specifications.

Develops and maintain strong relationships with suppliers/vendors to facilitate effective communication, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Analyzes procurement data, including pricing trends, lead times, and supplier performance metrics, to optimize purchasing strategies and identify opportunities for cost savings.

Coordinates with logistics and warehouse teams to manage inventory levels, minimize stockouts, and streamline the flow of materials within the supply chain.

Ensures compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies, particularly regarding environmental sustainability and ethical sourcing practices.

Tracks monthly cost savings and supply shortages.

Supervises suppliers performance in the domain of lead-time, reactivity, reliability, and flexibility.

Manages material cost budget, variance, obsolescence, compliance issues and cost reduction processes.

Collaborates with internal teams to develop capabilities in our suppliers.
