El Segundo, CA Job Details $30 - $45 an hour 2 hours ago Qualifications Vendor relationship building Full Job Description SUMMARY Buying of services, raw materials, hardware, and shop floor needs. Always prepared to implement effective negotiation tactics. Manage relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality service, timely delivery, and compliance to terms of contracts. Reviews materials upon arrival to ensure quality. Monitors stock levels and expiration dates to ensure materials on hand are available for use. DUTIES Have great communication, negotiation, and customer service skills. Work well with numbers to develop profitable purchasing strategies, assess suppliers, and evaluate offers. Consistently prepare and implement effective negotiation tactics while managing relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery, and compliance to terms of contracts. Help maintain stock levels, perform stock checks prior to purchases, review expiration dates and help ensure stock levels are on hand and available for use. Screen vendors to ensure they are approved for required processes. Cut purchase orders directly from internal jobs to ensure verbiage is as planned per the job requirements. Keep organized records up to date of vendors that are approved or disapproved of on the Trio approved vendors list. Maintain consistent detailed organized notes for cost analysis and vendor approvals. Special Projects Other assigned
Duties Education, Skills, and Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent and or 4 years of additional or related experience. Working knowledge of manufacturing, procurement, quality basics, & engineering flows. Experience creating production schedules in Excel, and working with MRP systems Knowledge and applicable experience of lean principles Experience tracking and reporting status. Ability to communicate effectively and work with leaders, peers, and others Forklift experience
