Group Seven is a provider of Electronics Manufacturing Service and Supply Chain Solutions. Located in North San Jose, Group Seven has been in business over 35 years offering customized contract manufacturing solutions to our diverse customer base.Job Summary:
Group Seven is currently seeking a Buyer who is proactive, detail-oriented, and great at working independently to support our organization. Additionally, the ability to multi-task and cross train across all material functions as needed will be required. Opportunity to learn and advance at a small contract manufacturing environment into an eventual management position.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The responsibilities will include, but not limited to: Board level components purchasing job includes material management, supply chain management, price negotiation and CM contract price review Material planning and working with/interpreting an MRP for multiple customers to procure board level material Must have strong, proficient Excel skills - experience with V-lookup function and transferring data between Excel application and MRP system Daily interface with production, customers, and vendors Obtain and negotiate competitive quotation and analysis the vendor quotation based upon product specification & market price Use our Expandable MRP system to review & control the demand & inventory management Long lead time & unique components management CM shortage support All of above not limited to but as assignedQualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, material management, manufacturing or similar discipline preferred Minimum of 1-2 years materials management/purchasing, procurement and supply chain experience preferred Experience at an OEM or Contract Manufacturer preferred. Strong written and verbal skills are needed to establish and maintain productive, positive relationships with current vendors and current customers Strong communication and organizational skills with ability to work on multiple priorities at once Ability to identify opportunities to increase accuracy and implement solutions Ability to grasp and understand overall business processes while being able to perform and validate the processes at the detail level Proven ability to resolve problems independently and take appropriate action in a timely manner Proficient in Windows applications and Microsoft Office programs such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint Quickly learns and achieves proficiency in new software applications as neededJob Type:
