About Us We are a Santa Ana based, Commercial Construction and Facilities Maintenance company serving the Food Service Industry throughout Los Angeles, Orange, and San Diego Counties. We specialize in providing rapid, high-quality repairs, and facilities maintenance for major grocery stores and retail establishments. Our field construction technicians are highly multifaceted tradespeople who handle everything from carpentry and flooring to tile replacement, drywall, painting, doors, and commercial hardware. Position Overview We are looking for a sharp, proactive Materials Procurement Coordinator who understands these trades and can ensure our field teams always have exactly what they need to get the job done right. You will serve as the critical bridge between our project work orders, material vendors, and field technicians. You must be able to review a work order and know what specific materials, fasteners, tools, or rental equipment are required. Your main mission is to accurately scope material needs, source items from our vendors, and coordinate delivery or pickup to maximize field efficiency.
Key Responsibilities Work Order Analysis:
Review daily incoming work orders to determine accurate material takeoffs and equipment requirements across multiple trades (carpentry, tile, drywall, hardware, etc.)
Vendor Sourcing & Procurement:
Source high-quality, cost-effective materials and specialized equipment from our network of suppliers and hardware vendors.
Logistics & Coordination:
Arrange the most efficient delivery method for every job. This includes coordinating field technician pickups, scheduling vendor deliveries directly to retail jobsites, or routing shipments to our Santa Ana warehouse.
Cost Control:
Verify vendor invoices against purchase orders to ensure accuracy and help maintain project profitability. Qualifications & Experience Trade Familiarity (Required): Minimum 2-3 years of experience in construction management, trade supply employment (e.g., commercial hardware, lumber yards), or hands-on field experience. You must be familiar with materials/terms related to commercial doors/hardware, drywall, flooring, tiling, and painting etc.
Local Geography:
Solid knowledge of major transit routes across Orange County, LA, San Diego, and the IE to accurately estimate transit times.
Tech Savvy:
Proficient with work order management systems and basic spreadsheets.
Strong Communicator:
Ability to talk clearly and direct field technicians, vendor sales representatives, and corporate retail clients.
