Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Procurement Specialist to lead our procurement operations and drive strategic sourcing initiatives. In this role, you will oversee the end-to-end procurement process, manage vendor relationships, negotiate purchasing contracts, and optimize supply chain management. Your expertise in procurement management systems and ERP platforms will ensure seamless inventory control, cost efficiency, and supplier performance. Duties Lead procurement activities by sourcing suppliers, evaluating vendor proposals, and negotiating purchasing contracts to secure optimal pricing and terms. Manage procurement contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal standards while maintaining strong vendor relationships. Utilize ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS to process purchase orders, monitor inventory levels, and streamline procurement workflows. Conduct data analysis using Excel and other tools to assess pricing trends, inventory metrics, and supplier performance for informed decision-making. Oversee inventory management systems to maintain accurate stock levels, reduce excess inventory, and improve inventory turnover rates. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including logistics, supply chain management, and finance to coordinate procurement activities and optimize overall supply chain efficiency. Support automated procurement systems by implementing process improvements that enhance efficiency and reduce manual effort. Lead negotiations for direct procurement activities, ensuring favorable terms while fostering long-term supplier partnerships. Monitor vendor contract performance, resolve issues promptly, and manage vendor management processes to ensure quality service delivery. Provide team leadership by mentoring junior staff members, sharing best practices in sourcing strategies, and fostering a collaborative work environment. Qualifications Proven experience in procurement management with a strong understanding of supply chain processes and vendor relationship management. Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS; experience with automated procurement systems is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability in negotiating purchasing contracts and managing vendor agreements effectively. Strong analytical skills with expertise in Excel data analysis for pricing evaluation, inventory control, and contract performance metrics. Familiarity with inventory management systems and logistics operations within a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate confidently and build strategic supplier partnerships. Leadership experience in team management or project coordination within procurement or supply chain functions is preferred. Knowledge of purchasing management systems (technically supported) along with proficiency in Microsoft Office tools for reporting and documentation purposes.
Pay:
