Purchasing Agent I (Temporary) 📍 Fort Collins, CO (Northern Colorado) | 100% Onsite 💲 $31.00 to $34.00 hour DOE 🏢 Water Testing Manufacturing Company 📅 Temporary Assignment- with Potential for Permanent Employment Adecco is currently seeking a Purchasing Agent I for our client, a leading water testing manufacturing company in Fort Collins, Colorado. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with purchasing, procurement, or administrative experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position is fully onsite in Northern Colorado and requires reliable transportation. Initial interviews will be conducted in person at the Adecco office in Fort Collins. Position Overview The Purchasing Agent I is responsible for supporting day-to-day procurement activities and ensuring the timely purchase and delivery of materials, supplies, hardware, and outside processing services needed to support manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate with suppliers and internal teams. Key Responsibilities Create and process purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner Ensure purchase orders are placed, tracked, and delivered on schedule Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong supplier relationships Follow up on past-due orders and critical shortages Communicate supply issues, shortages, and potential delays to leadership and cross-functional teams Monitor inventory levels and supplier order requirements to prevent shortages and excess inventory Assist with cost analysis and supplier negotiations Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier information, and transaction data within procurement systems Support continuous material flow for manufacturing operations Help achieve the best quality, value, and service from suppliers
Qualifications Required:
Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel Experience using purchasing, ERP, or procurement software Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills Minimum of 1 year of purchasing, procurement, inventory, or related administrative experience Strong attention to detail and ability to perform routine job tasks accurately Reliable transportation Ability to work onsite inFort Collins, Colorado Preferred:
