Position Summary:

Iron Bear Trailer in Denver is now hiring a full-time Purchasing Agent to join our growing company. This position is responsible for supporting the procurement process by establishing quality metrics, researching, and vetting vendors, and setting up partnerships with suppliers. This position will also ensure the smooth operation of our supply chain, including inventory control, buying, and negotiating with suppliers. The successful candidate will have prior experience in sourcing, purchasing, or supply chain management.

Primary Responsibilities:

Support the entire procurement process, including sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing products and services Manage inventory levels, including tracking and maintaining inventory records Continuously analyze data to optimize inventory levels and reduce costs Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services Utilize NetSuite system to track and manage inventory and purchasing processes Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors Assist in the implementation of new systems and technologies Maintain accurate records in database, including pricing and cost Create Bill Of Material (BOM's) Create kits and item numbers Learn and provide support to the Sales Counter as needed, and become part of the Saturday schedule rotation The ideal candidate must have the following skills and abilities: Proven experience (at least 3 years) in purchasing, sourcing, or supply chain management Well organized and detail oriented Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook NetSuite or Oracle experience preferred Strong negotiation and communication skills Knowledge of inventory control and management processes Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines We are a drug-free workplace.
