$60K•$65k (based on experience) Our client, a well-established electronic manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced Purchasing Specialist to manage the full purchasing cycle and ensure efficient procurement of materials and supplies. This individual will play a key role in supplier management, cost analysis, and maintaining inventory levels to support production operations. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and experience working in a manufacturing purchasing environment, particularly within electronics manufacturing. Key Responsibilities Manage the purchasing process from start to finish Prepare and issue purchase orders based on production and inventory requirements Solicit bid proposals and review requisitions for accuracy and completeness Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, reliability, service, and availability Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and contract terms with vendors Analyze price proposals, financial reports, and supplier data to determine fair and competitive pricing Maintain inventory levels for all product lines to ensure uninterrupted production Verify received materials against purchase orders Review vendor invoices against purchase orders to ensure accurate pricing Work closely with production and operations teams to forecast purchasing needs Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations Evaluate contract performance and recommend improvements when necessary Formulate policies and procedures for bid proposals and procurement of goods and services. E xperience Minimum 5 years of purchasing experience in an electronic manufacturing environment Skills Strong negotiation and vendor management skills Excellent planning and organizational abilities Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) Application Question(s): How many years of purchasing experience do you have in an electronics manufacturing environment?
