An Aerospace Engineering Manager oversees engineering and technical design of aerospace engineering projects, such as airplane or rocket components. $140,000 - $190,000 per year Job Details - You will guide a Manufacturing Engineering team that supports high-mix, low-volume CNC machining and assembly for complex aerospace parts. You'll own the strategic roadmap for process capability, new product introduction, and capital equipment while rolling up your sleeves on the shop floor to resolve daily production challenges. Success is measured by gains in OEE, first-pass yield, and on-time delivery, all critical to customer programs ranging from commercial airliners to cutting-edge defense systems. This role reports directly to the Plant Manager and partners with Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, and Program Management.
Responsibilities:
Lead, coach, and develop Manufacturing Engineers and technicians toward best-in-class performance Champion Lean/Six Sigma projects that raise productivity, reduce cost, and improve safety Drive process design and validation for new product launches and engineering changes Manage capital equipment projects from business case through installation and PPAP Analyze production data, identify root causes, and implement sustainable corrective actions Ensure compliance with AS9100, ITAR, and all customer/regulatory requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field 7+ years in aerospace or precision machining environments; 3+ years in leadership Expertise in CNC machining, GD&T, tooling, and process development Proven success implementing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies Experience with AS9100 quality systems and ERP/MRP platforms U.S. Person under ITAR; able to communicate and influence across all organizational levels You'll steer manufacturing excellence at a financially robust, growth-oriented aerospace supplier where your ideas translate quickly into action, and into aircraft that fly worldwide.
