## Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Manufacturer Purchasing Agent to join our team in Danbury, CT. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our supply chain management, ensuring that we procure high-quality materials and products at competitive prices. If you have a knack for negotiation and a passion for optimizing purchasing processes, we want to hear from you! ## Responsibilities Identify and evaluate potential suppliers to meet the company's manufacturing needs. Negotiate contracts and pricing with vendors to secure favorable terms. Monitor inventory levels and forecast material requirements to prevent shortages. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to understand material specifications and requirements. Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance. Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and pricing fluctuations. Resolve any issues related to supplier performance or material quality. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliability and efficiency. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred. Proven experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build rapport with suppliers. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and purchasing software. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
