Purchasing Coordinator Veterinary Pharmaceutical Distribution

Company Overview We are a rapidly growing veterinary pharmaceutical distributor serving hospitals and clinics nationwide. As we continue to expand, we are looking for a motivated Purchasing Coordinator to join our team and help strengthen our purchasing and inventory operations. Position Summary The Purchasing Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring our clinics receive the products they need, when they need them. This entry-level role is ideal for someone who wants to build a career in supply chain or pharmaceutical distribution. You will support purchasing, vendor management, and inventory planning, while working closely with our warehouse and sales teams. Key Responsibilities Create, place, and track purchase orders based on sales data and demand forecasts. Monitor stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocks, coordinating closely with warehouse staff. Communicate with suppliers on product availability, pricing, lead times, and order confirmations. Maintain accurate purchasing records and ensure ERP/inventory systems are updated in real time. Assist management with vendor performance tracking and basic market research. Generate purchasing and inventory reports for internal review. Qualifications Associate or Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or related field (or equivalent experience). 1+ year of experience in purchasing, logistics, or inventory management preferred; pharmaceutical or regulated industry experience a plus. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; ERP or inventory system experience a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Pay:

$50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
