GED Full Job Description Job Summary:
The Procurement Agent coordinates activities within the organization's purchasing function to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services. This role supports vendor relations, purchasing operations, and recordkeeping while working under direct supervision.
Job Components :
Major Responsibilities Identify, qualify, and contact potential vendors to receive bids or quotations. Participate in bid evaluation and vendor selection, including suggesting alternative vendors to secure cost savings. Assist vendors with the setup and use of organizational purchasing/procurement systems. Execute purchases and issue purchase orders as directed by buyers or management. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of purchases, contracts, and payments. Collaborate with internal teams to meet purchasing needs and deadlines. Support compliance with company policies and industry regulations. Plan and manage semi-finished goods production Process consumption and finish released production orders Coordinate and stage first articles
Qualifications:
Educational Requirements :
Bachelor's degree preferred; High School diploma or equivalent
Previous Experience :
0-2 years of relevant purchasing or procurement experience.
