A leading consumer goods organization is seeking a Senior Planner / Buyer to support the planning processes across contract manufacturing. This role is responsible for finished goods planning, inventory management, and contract negotiations.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage inventory levels for finished goods, WIP, and packaging materials related to contract manufacturing Create and manage purchase orders aligned with demand plans and MRP to ensure product availability Maintain master production schedules for assigned contract manufactured products Monitor supplier performance, lead times, backorders, and delivery to mitigate supply risks Analyze pricing updates and purchase price variances to identify cost‑reduction opportunities Create and maintain Bills of Material (BOMs) within ERP systems Prepare and distribute monthly forecast updates to key stakeholders Partner with Quality, R&D, Regulatory, and Marketing teams to support new product introductions
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, or related field 5+ years of experience in supply chain planning & procurement Strong experience managing contract or outsourced manufacturing partners Background in CPG, food, pharmaceutical, or other regulated manufacturing environments preferred Solid understanding of MRP, demand planning, and inventory management ERP experience required; SAP S/4HANA and SAP IBP preferred APICS CSCP or similar certification a plus Strong analytical, organizational, and cross‑functional communication skills
