Job Summary Vital Care Industries is seeking an experienced, adaptable, and solutions-oriented business professional to serve as a trusted business partner to the Director of Procurement & Senior Director of Operations. This unique role is designed for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats, solving problems, improving processes, and helping departments work more effectively together. The Procurement Coordinator manages the procurement and sourcing of materials and services to support production and business growth within the healthcare industry. This role ensures cost-effective sourcing while maintaining quality, reliability, and on-time delivery. The Procurement Coordinator partners with internal teams and suppliers to support efficient supply chain operations and new product initiatives. No two days are exactly alike. One day may involve resolving a supplier escalation, while the next focuses on preparing regulatory documentation, improving an internal process, or developing tools that help the team succeed. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys learning every aspect of the business, and is energized by finding practical solutions that help the organization grow. Duties/Responsibilities Manage product demand using MRP to prevent inventory shortages or excess. Issue and manage purchase orders aligned to production schedules; Forecasting required. Monitor inventory levels across product categories. Resolve supplier quality issues and return-to-vendor claims. Develop and manage supplier relationships focused on cost, quality, and delivery performance. Collaborate with Sales, R&D, Planning, Finance, and customers on new product sourcing and launches. Participate in commercialization meetings, customer calls, and supplier/plant visits as needed. Support PPV reporting, pricing updates, and cost-reduction initiatives. Track procurement KPIs and support continuous improvement efforts. Research, evaluate, and identify potential suppliers and select the best options based on company objectives. Resolve discrepancies related to invoices, deliveries, or quality issues in a timely manner. Heavily partner with QA and Regulatory teams to ensure supplier compliance withFDA, ISO13485, EU
MDR and other regulatory compliance. Follow up on open purchase orders and assist with expediting as needed. Prepare COGS analysis and KPIs for internal review and audits. Build production schedule for fully owned subsidiary Complete raw material requisitions Cross-Functional Collaboration- Build strong working relationships across departments to improve communication and collaboration.
- Serve as a resource that helps connect teams, remove obstacles, and keep projects moving.
- Take ownership of assignments from concept through implementation with minimal direction.
- Support organizational growth by identifying opportunities, solving problems, and continuously improving business processes.
- Perform additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.
- Experience in healthcare distribution, manufacturing, inventory, medical products, supply chain, or a related industry.
