Versteel is currently looking for an experienced Buyer to join our team.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision. Interact professionally with other employees, customers and suppliers. Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments. Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts within the organization. Purchase raw materials, components, and parts

• Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers Process re-works and revisions daily
• Work closely with New Product Development Team
• Provide quotes to sales coordinators Work closely with suppliers and follow-up on past due order
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent. Associates Degree preferred. One to three years experience preferred Strong negotiating skills Strong computer skills Excellent verbal and written skills Strong planning, organizational and follow-up skills Must have strong decision making and multitasking skills Previous metal buying experience is a plus Excellent documentation skills
