Job Description

Overview Avalon Building Systems, a leader in modular building throughout New England, located in Canton, MA, is seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Procurement Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the procurement process, ensuring that our organization acquires quality materials and services at competitive prices. This position requires expertise in sourcing, subcontractor management, and scheduling. Responsibilities Act as a point of contact between the company and subcontractors Write scope of work for bids, obtain bids Track all bids in BuilderTrend Coordinate with project Managers and team to review bids Attend weekly project meetings, provide weekly status of bids Execute subcontractor contracts. Obtain required insurance documents Identify potential suppliers based on project requirements Skills Experience working in the procurement department in a related field Working knowledge of the construction industry and familiarity with building materials Previous experience in construction Strong understanding of procurement, negotiation techniques, and conflict resolution Excellent computer skills and proficiency with MS Office Suite Excellent verbal and written communication skills Exceptional multi-tasking, organizational, and documentation skills Compensation is commensurate with experience. Benefits include health insurance and paid time off.
