Position Summary The Purchasing Coordinator is a key member of the Procurement team, responsible for supporting day-to-day purchasing operations while working collaboratively with internal teams and external vendors. This role requires a high level of professionalism, teamwork, and service orientation, as the Purchasing Coordinator regularly partners with Operations, Accounting, Supply Chain, and restaurant leadership to support business needs. Success in this role depends not only on technical competence, but also on a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and a cooperative, solutions-focused approach. Key Responsibilities Coordinate purchase orders and ensure timely placement and follow-through with suppliers. Monitor inventory levels and forecast purchasing needs in collaboration with internal teams. Track order confirmations, shipments, and delivery schedules to ensure continuity of supply. Maintain accurate purchasing records, pricing data, and documentation. Support vendor relationships by communicating professionally and resolving discrepancies or delivery issues. Request and evaluate supplier quotes and assist with pricing and contract administration. Collaborate closely with Operations, Accounting, and Supply Chain teams to support business objectives. Assist with purchasing reports, spend analysis, and budget tracking. Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards. Will accept related and proven equivalent experience in lieu of a degree. 1 - 3+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or a related function. Experience in restaurant, hospitality, food service, or distribution environments preferred. Proficiency with ERP or purchasing systems and Microsoft Office (Excel required).
