Job Description
Central Transport LLC is one of the nation's most dependable and technologically advanced LTL (Less-than-Truckload) carriers to date. We are a privately owned company and have been servicing companies of all sizes for over 90 years now. With over 200 locations around the country, we pride ourselves on the continuous expansions that we have made and are still making strides to improve our operating systems to better service our wide network of customers. We also hold the industry's most modern fleet with our tractors & trailers having an average age of 2.5 years old. Candidate must be able to work a flexible schedule of: (7:30AM to 5:30PM) ~ (Monday - Friday) Salary ranges from: $50,000-$70,000
Ideal Candidate Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in purchasing, purchasing, or supply chain, or related experience 3-5 years of experience in purchasing, preferably in a technology driven or Transportation environment Proven research, problem solving and pricing negotiation experience Excellent communication skills, both written and oral Proficiency in Microsoft Office Duties include, but are not limited to: Identifying and securing vendors. Obtaining quotes for various supply orders. Making financially conscientious purchasing decisions for products including equipment and supplies being purchased in bulk. Monitor inventor supplies that are kept on hand for more effective ordering. Communication with various department heads, management and executive leadership.Pay:
