Job Purpose and Impact The Professional Sourcing Specialist - Buyer will support multiple country or multiple business sourcing activities. In this role, you will execute complex procurement tasks to provide inputs to the global category team. Sourcing activities typically involve procurement requirements of medium to high complexity, and the Professional Sourcing Specialist - Buyer must be able to influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies, and practices. Working under limited supervision, the Professional Buyer receives direction on sourcing priorities from the Buying Team Leader and collaborates with the Category Team and/or Senior Buyers in their region to support the implementation of regional category and sourcing strategies. Key Accountabilities Execute medium and highly complex sourcing events. Drive the implementation of regional sourcing decisions and provide support with the implementation of global sourcing decisions. Provide inputs to category team for category strategy development and execution. Provide comprehensive understanding of regional stakeholder and procurement landscape. Monitor continuous regional supplier and stakeholder relationships. Follow established procedures to select suppliers for procurement of noncontracted materials, goods, services and supplies. Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues Other duties as assigned #LI-AB3 Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience Minimum of two years of related work experience Preferred Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of related work experience Experience independently leading sourcing strategy and execution Experience supporting direct spend categories Proven experience influencing strategic direction with stakeholders Ariba - SAP experience Power BI and/or similar data analytics technology Proven effective written and verbal communication skills Experience working in a matrixed environment with cross-functional stakeholder management responsibilities Job Information Relocation assistance will not be provided for this position. This position is open in Wayzata, MN or Wichita, KS Compensation The expected salary for this position is aprox $70,000-$85,000 At Cargill we put people first.
