Help for Job Description. Opens a new window. Chief of Staff KC is partnering with a family-owned manufacturer in the Kansas City area is hiring a Purchasing Coordinator to support materials buying and vendor coordination. Great opportunity to grow into a larger purchasing role over time.
What you'll do:
Process purchase orders and track deliveries to ensure on-time receipt of materialsCommunicate with vendors on pricing, availability, and order statusMonitor inventory levels and flag material shortages before they become problemsMaintain accurate purchasing records and vendor filesResolve discrepancies with pricing, quantities, or shipmentsSupport cost comparisons and help identify savings opportunitiesWork cross-functionally with production, sales, and customer service teams to align on material needsHelp build and maintain relationships with vendors and manufacturing partnersWhat we're looking for:1-3+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, buying, or materials coordinationComfortable working in Excel and basic purchasing/ERP systemsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsGood communicator, comfortable working directly with vendorsNo degree required
