Airspeed is looking for an experienced Buyer to take ownership of day-to-day purchasing for our manufacturing plant and headquarters in Mebane, North Carolina. This isn't a role where you'll spend your day buried in purchase orders with little connection to the operation. You'll work directly with Production, Quality, Engineering, Finance, and our suppliers to make sure the materials, components, equipment, and supplies our team needs are available when they're needed. What You'll Do As our Buyer, you'll manage purchasing from the initial request through delivery and follow-up.

Your responsibilities will include:

Create and manage purchase orders for raw materials, components, packaging, equipment, MRO supplies, consumables, and other operational needs. Manage the complete purchase order process, including approvals, PO creation, delivery tracking, and quality followup. Stay ahead of potential material shortages and proactively communicate risks that could affect production. Build and maintain productive working relationships with suppliers. Communicate with vendors regarding specifications, purchasing plans, pricing needs, and delivery schedules. Maintain accurate purchasing, receiving, vendor, and supporting documentation in NetSuite. Assist with new vendor setup and documentation. Evaluate and periodically reassess suppliers in support of Airspeed's quality management system and

requirements. Help determine when critical materials and parts need to be reordered using inventory counts and purchasing data. Purchase office supplies, services, and other routine items needed by our Mebane headquarters. Occasionally purchase domestic materials or components that will be shipped to Airspeed's overseas manufacturing operations. Support Accounts Payable by providing purchase order and receiving documentation needed for threeway matching. Assist the Controller during monthend close, including inventory counts and resolving vendor billing discrepancies. Support purchasing needs associated with new products, manufacturing projects, and

activities. Look for opportunities to simplify, automate, and improve our purchasing processes. What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who can take ownership of purchasing activities without needing constant direction. You should be someone who is organized, responsive, comfortable working with both vendors and internal teams, and able to adjust when priorities change. Ideally, you'll have: 35 years of purchasing or procurement experience Experience purchasing raw materials and/or MRO supplies Experience using an ERP system for purchasing; NetSuite experience is strongly preferred Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Good analytical and problemsolving skills Strong written and verbal communication skills The ability to manage multiple priorities independently The confidence to communicate directly with suppliers and internal stakeholders A processimprovement mindset Comfort working in a fastmoving, handson manufacturing environment A bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience Experience working directly in a manufacturing plant environment is a plus. Experience with procurement automation tools or emerging AI-enabled procurement technology is also a plus.
